A law-firm that represents residential school survivors has been ordered to cease all of its hearings related to the Independent Assessment Process.
The order comes from the Supreme Court of British Columbia and is directed towards Calgary-based law-firm Blott and Company.
Few details about why the order was given are known, however the lawsuit was filed in October by Larry Fontaine and a group of other people.
A hearing on the case is scheduled to take place in a courtroom tomorrow.
Any residential school survivor who is represented by the company is advised to contact the Office of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement at 1-877-635-2648.
