A workshop is coming up in Saskatoon in January to gather information on tuberculosis in Metis communities.
The project is a joint effort involving the Metis Nation-Saskatchewan and the University of Saskatchewan.
Researchers hope to shed some light on why the disease is still present in Metis communities.
Ph.D. student Amanda LaVallee says the research will focus on first-hand accounts of individuals dealing with TB.
Anyone interested in contributing to the workshop can contact the MN-S office in Saskatoon at 343-8285.
