An investigation is underway in La Loche after a student was stabbed this week.
RCMP say it was Thursday morning, around 11:30 a.m., when an incident occurred at La Loche community high school.
Officers walked in to find an ambulance crew treating a wounded 15 year-old boy.
RCMP corporal Rob King says the school was immediately locked down.
“As a precaution the school was placed on lockdown so we could preserve the integrity of the scene. The student was removed from the school and taken to La Loche hospital by ambulance and later flown to Saskatoon.”
The condition of the victim is not known.
King adds a 13 year-old boy was arrested and appeared in court Friday on a charge of aggravated assault.
He will be held in custody over the weekend and is due back in court on Monday.
