The RCMP and officers from Saskatchewan Environment are investigating a hunting accident yesterday northwest of Meadow Lake.
Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot while hunting deer with three other 15-year-olds.
The youth was taken to hospital in Meadow Lake and then airlifted to Saskatoon.
The exact nature of his injuries have not been released — but at last word, he was in stable condition.
The investigation continues, and it is not known if any charges are being considered.
In Saskatchewan, youth 12 to 15 years of age must have a parent or guardian complete the consent portion of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Habitat Certificate.
While hunting, the youth must be under the direct supervision of an adult who is at least 18 years of age.
