A high school in Duck Lake is awash in controversy these days after students rallied to protest the impending transfer of a teacher there.
Kevin Seesequasis is a community member who has been watching the ordeal.
He himself is a former student of Donna Nieman the teacher at the centre of the matter.
He says Nieman has worked hard to implement anti-racism programs within Stobart High school, and he can’t believe she is being sent away.
Protests took place outside the school this week and another one is planned for January.
When approached for comment the local school division emailed MBC a one-line response saying it would review the concerns in the new year.
