Red Pheasant First Nation Chief Stewart Baptiste will be back in court next fall to face several drunk driving-related charges.
He is accused of impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, and failing to appear in court.
A trial on those charges has been set for October 3rd in Biggar.
That trial date was set today in North Battleford Provincial Court after a lawyer appeared on Baptiste’s behalf.
The charges were laid after a wedding in the Biggar area.
Baptiste denies he was driving his truck when arrested.
He says he was sitting in his vehicle to have a cigarette, because it was cold.
