A city official says the remains of a coyote shot in North Battleford on Monday are being tested for disease.
City bylaw officers were called to the Saskatchewan Hospital grounds to a report of a coyote.
Bylaw enforcement supervisor Ross MacAngus says the animal was acting strangely — it was aggressive, and wouldn’t run away from people.
After it was killed, it was found to have watery, puffy eyes.
MacAngus says the coyote’s body has been given to a vet to be tested — and the results are expected by early next week.
So far, three coyotes have been spotted in North Battleford over the past four days.
