A woman found seriously injured in the front yard of a Regina home has now died in what police are calling the city’s first homicide of the year.
Police say 48-year-old Elise Anne Cote of Regina was at a house party in the 2000 block of Edgar Street with four other people Wednesday night when an altercation broke out.
She died in hospital yesterday.
Thirty-eight-year-old Mark Jeffrey James Severight of Regina has been charged with manslaughter.
He made his first court appearance this morning.
