Classes were cancelled today at the Pelican Lake First Nation school.
No, it wasn’t the weather.
The closure happened after vandals broke into the building, grabbed some fire extinguishers and proceeded to spray the rooms and walls.
RCMP Cpl. Rob King says the foam had to be cleaned up before students could be sent back in:
“The material, although it’s good for firefighting, isn’t good for people so it has to be cleaned up very well before anyone can be back in the area.”
The principal of the school says students should be back in class Tuesday.
