Police in Regina and volunteer searchers are launching another ground search this weekend in an effort to locate a missing Aboriginal woman.

Twenty-eight-year-old Brandy Rene Wesaquate hasn’t been seen by family or friends since the early morning hours of January 1st.

Officers have already searched the area around Rae Street and will now shift their attention to Elphinstone Street.

The searchers will assemble at a school in the 600 block of Elphinstone Street at approximately 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, and will set out in teams to conduct a door-to-door, block-by-block search of a few areas identified by the investigators.

Local residents are being asked to check their garages, yard and sheds for anything unusual.

This is the third ground search that has been organized since Wesaquate was declared missing.
