A North Battleford man has been convicted of unlawfully importing and exporting wildlife.
Carlin Nordstrom has been fined just under 41-thousand dollars.
Nordstrom was sentenced Friday in North Battleford Provincial Court.
Environment Spokesman Gary Provencher says Nordstrom illegally imported and exported deer and elk.
They were for a game farm he was setting up on the Poundmaker First Nation.
“There animals were brought to his operation where they would be killed by paying clients which were mostly American hunters.”
The charges date back to 2006.
