A 19-year-old woman from the Pelican Lake First Nation will stand trial on charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident and criminal negligence causing death.
A preliminary hearing was held for Danielle Chamakese earlier this week.
The teenager is accused of being behind the wheel of the vehicle that crashed into 21-year-old Daniel Carter in Prince Albert on September 19th, 2010.
Carter later died in hospital, prompting a city-wide search for the driver and the teen’s subsequent arrest.
A date for the trial still has to be set.
