A lawyer who worked as a prosecutor in Regina, Saskatoon and La Ronge is now a provincial court judge.
Inez J. Cardinal received a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1990.
Cardinal has been a lecturer at the First Nations University northern campus in Prince Albert.
She has been the designated prosecutor for environmental offences in Saskatoon since 2006.
Cardinal will work at the Meadow Lake court house until November, and then take a position in Melfort.
