Thunderstorms in Alberta are playing havoc with water treatment systems in Saskatchewan.
The City of North Battleford has temporarily shut down one of its systems due to extremely high turbidity in the North Saskatchewan River.
The dirty water was caused by spring run-off mixed with rainstorms in Alberta.
The city of Prince Albert was contemplating shutting down its water treatment plant Friday — but it has now decided to keep it running.
There had been talk the plant would temporarily shut down with the high concentration of dirt in the North Saskatchewan River.
However, the city feels its new water system should be able to handle the extra turbidity and it plans to keep operating.
