Trial dates in Battleford have been set for a 57-year-old convicted sex offender.
The 10-day trial for Norbert Dumais is scheduled to begin March 18th next year in Battleford Court of Queen’s Bench.
Dumais is charged with sexual assault, uttering threats, possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of an undertaking.
He was arrested in Leoville in May, 2011.
In 2009, Dumais sparked a Facebook group to oust him from the Battlefords.
He had moved there after completing an eight-and-a-half-year sentence for raping an 11-year-old girl.
Dumais has more than 40 convictions for various offences over 40 years.
