Police have tracked down an escaped inmate in Prince Albert.

Thirty-nine-year-old Terrance Yew was arrested today in a neighborhood on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River.

Yew had escaped from the Riverbend Institution days earlier.

Sgt. Kelly McLean says they got a tip from the public about a break and enter at a business earlier that day.

Employees were out looking for merchandise when they spotted someone.

Officers soon arrived and McLean says Yew was recaptured after a chase through some brush and a brief scuffle.

McLean says they have strong indicators Yew was involved with the break and enter.

Yew is currently in custody.
