Nineteen Grade 10 and 11 Aboriginal students from across Canada are exploring the possibilities of setting up their own businesses this week.

They are part of the 4th Annual Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneurship Camp at the First Nations University of Canada’s Regina campus.

The co-ordinator of the week-long camp is Jennifer Dubois. She is a recent grad of FNUniv and has a degree in business administration.

Dubois says the camp is aimed at giving the students options:

“We want them to be successful, and to develop their own ideas and speak their voice.  That’s what it’s all about — voicing your opinion and getting somewhere in the world.”

Facilitators at the camp include several FNUniv grads who are examples of success in the business community.

The camp wraps up on Friday.
