An RCMP search team out of Regina was sent north on the weekend to search for a missing berry picker.
A 58-year-old woman was reported missing in the Hall Lake area after leaving her home Saturday afternoon and not returning that evening.
The RCMP was notified late Sunday.
La Ronge RCMP Sgt. Rene Giroux says a dog from Prince Albert and local members with ATVs began searching Sunday evening.
Local volunteers were also part of the search.
Giroux says the woman was found by a plane Monday morning and was dehydrated, but had no serious injuries:
“She went walking straight from the back of her house, and instead of coming back home she went the opposite way.”
He says it is a good idea for elderly people to have someone accompany them when they head out into the bush.
Giroux notes another person gathering mushrooms also became lost north of Prince Albert on Sunday.
