A man accused of stabbing another man in the face has pleaded guilty to two charges, and will be sentenced in October.

Twenty-four-year-old Alex Wapass appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court yesterday for a two-day preliminary hearing.

But that hearing ended after he pleaded guilty to two charges: aggravated assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon — a knife.

Two other charges are expected to be withdrawn when he is sentenced.

The incident occurred May 2nd of last year.

A 36-year-old man was stabbed in the face in North Battleford and was sent to hospital in Saskatoon with non-life-threatening injuries.
