There has been another fatal crash on Highway 905 in Saskatchewan’s far north.
Less than a week after a collision claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman on that highway north of Southend, two more people have died as the result of a crash last night.
RCMP say they got a call at around 8:30 p.m. that two pick-up trucks had collided at the crest of a hill, about 92 kilometres north of Points North Landing.
There were four people in the smaller, northbound truck — all from Black lake.
The 58-year-old male driver and a 52-year-old female passenger, who was sitting in the front seat, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two passengers, a 32-year-old and a nine-year old, were flown to hospital in Saskatoon and are now in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the man driving the larger, southbound truck was unhurt in the crash.
Sgt. Greg Heuer of the Wollaston Lake RCMP detachment says the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The families have been notified.
