Sweetgrass First Nation resident Henry Beaudry and former Red Pheasant Cree Nation resident Gerald McMaster have another honour.
Both were inducted into North Battleford’s Frontier Mall Wall of Fame on Saturday.
Beaudry is a well-known painter and a grandson of Chief Poundmaker.
He was not only inducted for his contributions to art, but also his military service.
Beaudry was a prisoner of war in the Second World War, but he escaped.
McMaster is the curator of Canadian art at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
He has worked hard to increase the knowledge and understanding of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit art in Canada and throughout the world.
