A development company with operations in Saskatchewan’s far north has purchased ownership in its tenth business.

Athabasca Basin Development has bought a 66% stake in Double Diamond Industrial Structures.

The Saskatoon-based business is best known for constructing high-quality modular structures for the mining, oil and gas industry.

In a release, Athabasca says the investment in Double Diamond is a good fit for its overall portfolio.

Since it was launched in 2002, ABDLP has grown to employ 1,300 people and record consolidated revenues of more than $110 million.
