In La Ronge, incumbent mayor Thomas Sierzcki is being challenged by Ronald Warner.
Just down the street Greg Merriman has decided to try and unseat incumbent mayor Gordon Stomp from his post.
Four people are competing for the mayor’s job in Buffalo Narrows.
They include incumbent mayor Bobby Woods and challengers Blair Morin, Estelle Laliberte and Rick Mckay.
In Beauval three people have tossed their hats into the ring.
They are incumbent mayor Fred Roy, and challengers Max Morin and Elaine Malbeuf.
Meadow Lake won’t need a race to determine its leader.
Gary Vidal has been acclaimed to the position.
That’s also the case in Creighton where Bruce Fidler was acclaimed to his 4th term in office.
Five candidates are in the running to become mayor of Cumberland House.
Incumbent leader Andy Mckay is being challenged by Allen Bishoff, Cyril Goulet, Laureen McKay and Val Deschambault.
Over in Sandy Bay four people are challenging incumbent mayor Daniel M. Bear for the right to lead the village.
The challengers include Cornelius Ballantyne, Roland S. Ballantyne, Tracey Merasty and Paul Morin.
In Ile A’la Crosse one person is challenging incumbent mayor Dwayne Favel.
That is Vye Bouvier.
In Green Lake, four people have stepped forward for their chance to be mayor.
They include incumbent leader Fred McCallum who is opposed by challengers Dale Hounsell, Jeff Mckay and Calvin Roy.
Up in Stony Rapids incumbent mayor Sandra Hansen is seeking to defend her position.
Challengers in that race include Magloire MacDonald and Daniel Power.
Meantime two people are seeking to be mayor of Tunor Lake, they include John Montgrand and Jeanine Daigneault.
One race was already settled this week as the Village of Pinehouse held its election on September 19th.
Incumbent leader Mike Natamagon fended off one challenger to successfully hang onto his seat.
Meantime three councilors were also re-elected.
They include Conrad Misponas, Betty-ann Durocher and Greg Ross.
One new councilor was voted in; Carol Ratt-Misponas.
