A 15-month conditional sentence has been handed to the former CEO of New North, the umbrella organization for northern Saskatchewan municipalities.
Eric Gardiner was in La Ronge Provincial Court yesterday after pleading guilty earlier this year to one count of fraud.
A total of 42 charges were originally laid after forged cheques were written and cashed in La Ronge during October and November of last year.
All but one charge was withdrawn, and Gardiner has been order to pay over $8,100 in restitution.
