For the second time in five months, the chief of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation has been arrested for breaching probation.
Chief Stewart Baptiste, Jr. was arrested over the weekend for allegedly breaching probation on Saturday.
He is accused of drinking alcohol and entering a place selling alcohol.
In June, Baptiste breached probation by drinking alcohol and driving while suspended twice.
During that court appearance, Judge David Kaiser said if Baptiste breached probation again, he could end up going to jail.
Meanwhile, Baptiste is awaiting trial next August on two charges – drunk driving and refusing a breathalyzer.
