Two teens have appeared briefly in court charged with the first-degree murders of a couple in northern Saskatchewan.

The boys, 14 and 17, are to be in Meadow Lake Provincial Court again in three weeks.

A publication ban prevents releasing any information that may identify the boys, who have been charged as young offenders.

A prosecutor says if the teens are convicted, the Crown will seek to have them sentenced as adults.

The man and woman were found dead in their rural home last Monday.

The two boys were arrested the same day in Prince Albert.
