A plane from Cigar Lake was forced to make an unscheduled landing last night in Prince Albert.

Spokesman for Cameco, Rob Gereghty, says the plane was carrying 18 employees at the time.

He adds the problem appears to have been a loose fitting:

“The pilot smelled smoke in the cabin and safely landed the plane in Prince Albert.  There were no injuries and passengers later boarded another flight and continued on to Saskatoon.”

Gereghty says the plane has since been fixed.
