RCMP in Sandy Bay are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.
38 year-old Darcy Merasty was last seen on Tuesday night leaving a friend’s place.
He is described as being five-foot-nine, one hundred and seventy pounds with an average build.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket with an orange liner, a grey touque annd grey shoes.
Sergeant Chad Mcleod says Merasty is very well-kept and it is out-of-character for him to not contact anybody.
He says RCMP have performed an exhaustive door-to-door search of the community and turned up no sign of him.
He notes Merasty isn’t from Sandy Bay and only just arrived so the case is very strange.
The Major Crimes Unit has been called in but Macleod says that is routine for cases like this.
Anyone who knows where Merasty could be is asked to call police or crimestoppers.
He has been known to frequent Prince Albert, La Ronge and Flin Flon.
