The Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation has entered into a unique partnership with Access Communications.
The two organizations have announced plans to share office space in La Ronge effective Feb. 19.
This means Access customers will soon be able to pay bills at the MBC office and exchange equipment.
Access President Jim Deane says the new partnership will also result in additional programming and community content for the local area.
“I think we are working toward stuff that is unique to the community, that is pertinent,” he says. “So we are looking for ideas about that and so anyone in the Town of La Ronge or Air Ronge that has ideas for us, and would like to be a community producer, it is just a matter of letting us know what their idea might be and we can take it from there.”
Deane adds Access will continue to provide coverage of the La Ronge Ice Wolves Junior hockey team.
Missinipi Broadcasting CEO Deborah Charles calls the partnership a terrific opportunity.
She says she’s confident that by bringing the two organizations together under one roof it will provide value for listeners and viewers.
