A national youth conference began on Friday at Oskayak High School in Saskatoon.
The conference brings together about 90 Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people from across the country to raise awareness of both cultures and work on strategies of reconciliation.
Rose Goulet of Canadian Roots Exchange, the organization hosting the conference, says her organization is excited to bring in young people from all over Canada to participate in a number of workshops in its first annual conference.
“It’s a youth run organization, it’s called Canadian Roots Exchange, we’re hosting our first national conference at Oskayak High School and we’re hoping to get a lot of youth out to participate in our workshops.”
The youth conference wraps up on Sunday.
