A 55-year-old woman from the Sakimay First Nation is hoping to get out of jail on Thursday.
This is when a provincial court judge will decide on sentencing on 30 fraud-related offences.
Irene Marlene Peepeetch is a career criminal with more than 300 fraud-related convictions spanning 40 years.
She is currently being sentenced for a string of frauds that spanned five years and four provinces.
Last Friday, Peepeetch appeared before a sentencing circle but its recommendations have not been publicly released.
On Thursday, Justice Linton Smith will render a decision on her sentencing.
Peepeetch has been in custody on remand for the past two years.
The Crown wants her to spend at least another two years in jail.
