RCMP say it could be several days before a positive identification is made on a body found yesterday on the One Arrow First Nation.

Investigators believe the body had been in the water for a long time, making identification difficult.

RCMP Cpl.l Rob King says the body was found in deep water in a slough on the reserve:

“We were contacted late yesterday afternoon after a resident of the One Arrow First Nation was out paddling in the slough and came across the discovery.”

King says an underwater dive team worked into the evening to recover the body.

He says people on the reserve are being interviewed and an autopsy will be done later this week.
