The Central Urban Metis Federation Incorporated celebrates its 20th anniversary today.
The non-profit organization first opened its doors in 1993 under the direction of Ronald J. Camponi and his team.
CUMFI provides various services to Metis people living in the inner city of Saskatoon including mental health and addictions, child and family services and affordable housing.
Anniversary festivities began this morning at CUMFI’s head office in the city and continue on throughout the day.
Metis Nation – Saskatchewan President Robert Doucette, CUMFI President Shirley Isbister, Saskatoon Tribal Council Chief Felix Thomas and city councillor Pat Lorje are all on hand for the event.
