A resident of the Yellow Quill First Nation is one of two women killed in a head-on crash in the Yorkton area yesterday.
At around 3:00 p.m., a car and a semi unit collided on Highway 16, about 4 km east of Theodore.
The victims were occupants of the car, and were prounounced dead at the scene.
They have been identified as 37-year-old Deloris Taniskishayinew of Tisdale and 28-year-old Tracey Taniskishayinew of the Yellow Quill reserve.
A third person in the car was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the semi wasn’t hurt.
