Five new low income housing units were officially opened today in the Northern Village of Pinehouse Lake, and a sod turning was held for the construction of five more.
It is all part of a provincial program that will see the province provide 500,000 for the ten homes.
The homes are built for low and moderate income families, who contribute by providing sweat equity for
their home, and others that are being built in the community.
The Pinehouse home ownership program will provide funding to help build five new homes in the village every year.
