There’s been a rash of vehicle-thefts in Prince Albert.
On Friday alone four vehicles were stolen by thieves.
Constable Shawn Rowden says the culprits are looking for unlocked vehicles.
Once they’re inside they look for a spare key and then take off:
“Some of the incidents where vehicles were stolen, some of them were found burnt. So sometimes they steal a vehicle and try and destroy the evidence and light the vehicle on fire.”
He says leaving spare keys inside a vehicle can often backfire on the owner.
