Members of the Fond du Lac Denesuline First Nation have re-elected their chief to a new two-year term.
Earl Lidguerre beat out two other candidates in Friday’s election by capturing 56 per cent of the vote.
He was originally elected chief in 2011.
The new six-person band council also features four newcomers.
One of the new faces to council, Rita Adam, is the new vice-chief after finishing with the most votes.
Well-known Dene entertainer Leonard Adam also won a seat on council.
