The provincial government will provide $10 million to build a new trades and technology centre in Yorkton.
It will also match a $150,000 scholarship donation to provide local first nations youth with scholarships over the next five years.
Premier Brad Wall made the announcement today in Yorkton.
The new trades centre will be built at the Parkland Regional college which is contributing more than $8 million for the project.
To help first nations youth get trades training, the government is matching scholarship donations by the Yorkton tribal council.
In all, $300,000 will be made available to applicants from the councils six member first nations.
They include the Cote, Key, Keeseekoose, Ocean Man, Sakimay and Kahkewistahaw First Nations.
