Aboriginal Affairs minister from across the country are touching down in Winnipeg today.
They’re meeting with one another and the leaders of Canada’s five national, Aboriginal groups to discuss a series of issues.
It’s all part of the annual meeting of the Aboriginal Affairs Working Group.
Federal minister Bernard Valcourt is expected to make an announcement regarding emergency management for aboriginal Communities at noon tomorrow.
Other topics due to be covered include aboriginal education, economic development and violence against Aboriginal women and girls.
The meeting starts tonight and wraps up tomorrow.
