The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan is mourning the loss of Guy Bouvier.
Bouvier passed away last week in Meadow Lake.
Over the years, he held a number of positions within the MN-S including acting president, vice-president, and area director for western region one.
Bouvier was also a strong supporter of the Gabriel Dumont Institute helping to initiate a recovery plan for the institute with the government in the mid-1990’s.
Funeral services are being held for Guy Bouvier Tuesday in Meadow Lake at 2 p.m. and also on Thursday in Ile-a-la-Crosse at St. John Baptiste Parish at 1 p.m.
