Information gathering for the province’s Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan continues, and organizers are hoping for more northern input.
A website was set up this summer where individuals can share personal accounts about their experiences with mental health or addictions services.
Action Plan Commissioner Dr. Fern Stockdale Winder says the response in the province’s north has been good, but she would like to see even more participation:
“We would like to have an over-representation, if we could, of some of the folks with experience there, because it would really help us understand better what kinds of specific issues people are facing if they try to access services or get help for a mental health or addictions need that they have.”
The consultation tool is called “Powerful Voice” and is located at the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health website.
Anonymous input and feedback can be submitted until December 31.
