A coroner is advising the RCMP that further tests are required to determine the cause of death of twin seven-month-old boys on a northern Saskatchewan reserve this week.
Autopsies were conducted on the infants on Wednesday, but the results were inconclusive.
The coroner says it could be another three months before the results from the other tests are known.
RCMP were called to a home on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation on Monday morning to a report that the twins were not breathing.
They were rushed to the hospital in nearby Loon Lake, where they were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Mounties have said the deaths will be considered suspicious until proven otherwise.
