The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society is offering a $5,000 reward for information on an injured dog in Patuanak.
On December 9, Patuanak RCMP received reports that a puppy was set on fire using an accelerant.
The incident left the puppy badly injured and scarred and is believed to have happened around Halloween.
The puppy, since named “Nero”, was taken to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society in Calgary.
Once there, he underwent multiple surgeries and is expected to make a good recovery.
A reward poster has been released and police would like to hear from anyone with information on the case.
