The Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation has voted in favour of allowing commercial developments to take place on several parcels of land.
Last week 688 votes were cast in two seperate ballots.
In both cases roughly 500 voters came out in favour of the idea while just under 200 voters were opposed.
One of the votes concerned a piece of land that has yet to receive its reserve designation, while the other one dealt with reserves at Southend, Pelican Narrows, Prince Albert and Creighton.
According to government regulations council had to ask the membership for permission to utilize the land for commercial ventures.
