Another member of the Buffalo River Dene Nation band council has been charged with assault.
Band councillor Eileen Morrison was in court on Wednesday and is facing two counts.
It is not known if she has entered a plea to the charges.
Last week, Buffalo River Chief Lance Byhette was arrested on charges of assault and being intoxicated on the reserve.
Byhette is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.
