Cameco and Indspire are working together to offer scholarships and bursaries to Aboriginal students training for jobs in northern Saskatchewan.

All of Cameco’s past Aboriginal Northern Scholarship recipients, and new applicants from the Northern Administrative District, are being directed to the Indspire website for application information.

Sean Willy is the director of corporate responsibility at Cameco and says the company needs skilled workers:

“The technical, the supervisory, the engineering roles of our company — and we really want to promote the young Aboriginal population of northern Saskatchewan to access this additional funding and really push our workforce to the next level in regards to these higher needs we require.”

Cameco is contributing $200,000 to training programs over the next four years and Indspire is matching that amount.
