The man at the center of a major Saskatoon murder trial took the stand this morning.
Douglas Hales, who is accused of first-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Daleen Bosse of the Onion Lake Cree Nation, gave testimony.
Bosse was last seen in May 2004.
Hales described himself as a drug and alcohol addict who bounced from job to job from between 1997 and 2004.
He told court of the night of May 18, 2004 when he met Bosse while working as a bouncer at Jax nightclub.
Hales described Bosse as an attractive woman who was quite intoxicated on the night they met.
He said they engaged in some brief sexual activity while he was still at work before leaving in her car at the end of his shift.
