The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is upping the ante.
SIGA-wide progressive jackpot Smoke Signals has upped the ante to $1 million dollars.
The most recent progressive jackpots started at $250,000.
This progressive jackpot links all six of SIGA’s casinos together for a chance to be Saskatchewan’s next millionaire.
Patrons will see the renewal of 44 existing machines that make up the Smoke Signals bank and a change in the physical structure of the progressives.
Slot manager Clinton Dagenais says this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
“A million dollars is a life changing event, it is an unforgettable moment, it is a big thing right, and that is something we want to celebrate with other people and get everybody else enthusiastic as well,” he says.
Patrons will receive one free spin for the million once a day starting Thursday July 3 until Sunday July 6 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Smoke Signals is the largest progressive jackpot in Saskatchewan.
Anne Rees is just one of many who are trying to win the million. She says she already has plans for the money if she wins.
“I would probably pay all my bills, buy a car, maybe a house,” she says. “I got all good plans.”
Dagenais says there are three progressive jackpots.
The top jackpot starts at $1 million dollars and will hit before $2 million.
The second jackpot is set at $25,000 and will hit before $75,000.
The last one starts at $1,000 and will hit before $3,000.
The Northern Lights Casino has one of the highest hits throughout the province.
The casino has had sixteen Smoke Signals winners for a total of $8 million dollars since its inception in 1998.
