The public is invited to view a display in Prince Albert which was created by the Northern Indigenous Photo-Voice Project.

Summer student Aleyna May Morin and artist Tim Moore visited Sucker River in June and the project involved local youth and elders from the community.

Morin says about 30 youth between the ages of six and 15 were part of the project.

“We took cameras and we taught skills around photography – and then we let the children use the cameras,” she says. “We also worked with an elder in the community.”

The display involving photography and video can be seen until Aug. 22 at the John V. Hicks Gallery in the Prince Albert Art Centre.
