Rescue officials have located the body of a man who is believed to have drowned in southeastern Saskatchewan on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old man from White Bear First Nation was last seen trying to swim across a river near the Alameda dam a little after 4 p.m.
Initial efforts to locate the man were unsuccessful.
The dam is located about four kilometres east of Alameda.
His body was discovered about a 450 feet from he was last seen swimming about 10:15 a.m. Friday morning.
Oxbow Rescue, EMS, Carnduff RCMP, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team and members of the White Bear First Nation assisted in the search.
Police are not releasing his name at this time.
